simmons in for gurvir dhindsa. >> i'm steve chenevey. thank you for being with us. let's say hello to tony perkins. how is it looking out there? >> still wet from the rain we had overnight and last night. still cloud out there but we'll see gradual clearing as the morning goes on. let's take a look at what is happening. we'll start with the current conditions being reported at reagan national airport where right now it is in the 70s. 73degrees at reagan national. relative humidity, 68%. those wind are out of the west at 15 miles per hour so it is breezy. barometric pressure has been falling. right now, we are just left with some clouds. they will be pushing out as the morning progresses and we'll see i think a good amount of sunshine in the latter part of the day. the forecast for today look like this, becoming mostly sunny gradually. cooler this afternoon. cooler than it was yesterday is what we mean. look for a high of about 84 degrees. that is actually above normal but still cooler than yesterday. more details coming up in just a little bit. >> as we said, a little bit wet on the r

department of health and human services building. sherry ly joins us with the latest. >> reporter: good morning. we are actually right here near the capitol, the ray bun building as well which houses some of the house members and then over there is the hght and human services building that you mentioned. town there on c street is where the shooting happened. here what is we know right now. the shooting apparently involving u.s. capitol police just before 5:00 this morning. there are reports that the suspect was shot in the and. he was down but conscious. this was a 200 block of c street in southwest. again, happening just before 5:00 this morning. there were a number of evidence markers on the scene. typically, those would be evidence of shell casing suggesting perhaps that multiple shots were fired again based on the information or what we've seen out here. it appears there may have been several shots fired. we are still waiting somebody from capitol police to come out here and provide us with more information about what has happened. just to also show you over here, there is a wooded
